I am a voracious consumer of life. I can’t get enough of what it means to be alive: to experience, feel, transform and create.
I make things to help me understand the world I’m in and the body I’m experiencing it from. Part of my experience is synesthesia, a perceptual quirk in which one sensory experience automatically triggers another (for me, sound triggers color, shape, and taste).
Music is my gateway to a life beyond thought. When I paint, I’m inside music, allowing my body to take the lead in asking and answering. In experiencing. In feeling what it means to be alive.
